Adrian Sosa has approximately 15 years of experience in the software,
hardware and semiconductor industries. Prior to joining Davis Kim Lee &
Associates, LLC., he spent just over a year at VERITAS as a Revenue Manager
before its acquisition by Symantec. His responsibilities included deal structuring of
the companies most complex software arrangements, working directly with the
Sales, Legal and Operation departments on large, highly negotiated contracts, deal
desk representation for Corporate Revenue, applying SOP 97-2 and supplemental
guidance for proper software revenue recognition and performing Sarbanes-
Oxley compliance work. Adrian also spent 6 months with Symantec after the
VERITAS acquisition (largest software integration to date) and played a vital role
in the integration of the VERITAS revenue models, policies and VSOE
methodologies into the combined company standard.
Prior to Symantec, he spent over 5 years with Deloitte & Touche LLP in their
assurance and advisory group and was responsible for
managing a number of primarily software audit clients, reviewing
complex revenue transactions, reviewing client’s internal controls, filing
of SEC documents and performing due diligence of acquisitions.
Prior to joining public accounting, Adrian spent several years in various high-tech
companies, including Micrel Semiconductor as a general accountant.
He graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a Bachelor
degree in Economics and also obtained his Masters degree in Accounting from
San Jose State University.
